• This and that
In contrary to some people, I went through the post breakup differently. Too often, some try to soothe themselves by thinking about the "bad" times and diminish the value of past relationship in order to get over things more quickly. Not me. I think it's OK to think that the relationship was pretty great. I mean, to me.. it really was. We shared a lot of memories together and it was not all that bad. There were some true moments that we share and no one else can take it away or say any differently.

Was it worth going through the pain of the ending? Well, it was worth for what it was. Maybe I just had to go through and had the relationship with him in order for me to learn something. And I learned all right. It does not mean I want to take him back, hell NO. He can try all his might, but I will not take a step back and go through it all over again. Just because the relationship ends, it doesn't mean it's not worth having, is all I am trying to say.

My way of coping with it may be different and could be slow in process, but hey, it's the only way I know now. I just want to give myself enough time to forgive myself and him. Just as much time as I needed to let him go. No one is rushing me, it's all me and so be it.

I find myself doing what I used to love doing but couldn't because he didn't enjoy it and I had to compromise. Hiking with a large group of people is one of them. I forgot how much I like hiking and meeting new people. It's fun to be out there again and talk to strangers just because. My goal is to join one of those photo-hike events, but I haven't been able to find one group that matches my schedule and personality.

At first I thought my goal is to find new friends.. but after talking to new people during these hikes, I remember it took me 12 years to have a small good circle of friends in LA. It's going to take a LOT while for me here, but it's ok. I am in no rush to find friends, I would rather focus myself on being comfortable with just myself, that I can only rely on myself and be okay with it. I thought I have mastered such already, but my mind forgets all about it after having a relationship the past 4 years. Back to start from scratch :)

Everything is a day by day process. As long as I keep on moving forward, eventually, I will end up where I am supposed to be.

• To me, she is love, she is perfection.
Happy Mother's Day to the woman who seems to have wisdom and kindness on the ready and a never-ending reserve of encouragement and knowledge, experience and truth. I love you, Ibu. Can't wait to see you in a few weeks!
